To Be Somebody

Listen
00:00 / 00:31

To be known is to feel that you are somebody. Because if you grew up in a big family, and you don't have that attention that you want, you tend to look elsewhere for that attention. That attention elsewhere might be negative. So to feel like an individual inspired me to do more things. I established myself in the world, that's what it is. I'm not a lost soul. That's what I call it a lost soul. Without feeling that you're somebody, you're a lost soul in the world.

To Be Somebody, to feel seen, to be heard and to be valued. If estrangment and isolation is the aftermath of the pandemic what can we do to strengthen the social infrastructure of our lives? What opportunities are made to encourage that sense of self worth that is not connected to a grade or student of the month award.
